Welcome to my corner of the internet that I call Humble Motherhood! This is a place I hope to will bring you encouragement, a laugh, refreshment and helpful tips to flourish as a wife and mama. We all know these jobs aren’t easy, but they are a beautiful, messy part of our everyday lives that we wouldn’t trade for the world. Let me introduce myself a little! I’m Katie, daughter of the King, mama of two littles and wife to a Naval aviator. While I am originally from the great state of Maryland, the Navy has had us bouncing all over the place for the past two years so “home” is currently in Florida. We are a family that loves the outdoors, books, classical music and coffee. (Can I get an amen to that last one?)

The idea to begin blogging came out of a desire to connect with and to encourage other mamas, as well as myself, with what I’ve learned and experienced. Ephesians 4:2 says “Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.” Jesus humbled Himself when He came to earth and died on the cross for our sins, and as Christians we are called to model Jesus to our children. Thus, the name “Humble Motherhood”!

Each week I’ll be trying my best releasing a new blog post about motherhood, military life, homemaking or a bit of homeschooling; as well as my favorite baby products, breastfeeding, books and resources for moms.  For more day-to-day updates you can connect with me on Instagram @mrskatieriggs!

I wish I could sit down with each one of you, with a cup of coffee, to share our hearts and struggles. Instead, let me know in the comments a little about you, how I can pray for you and a topic you would love to see me write about! I can’t wait to “meet” you all!

Here’s to reheating your coffee only once today!
